Recently, the 'Show unread posts since last visit' function has not been working for me. I stay logged in and visit the site periodically. If I go to the individual forums, I can still see the 'New' buttons to show me which threads have been updated, but it's nice to be able to use the function to see all of these at once.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a cookie problem...but I'm not 100% sure what could be causing it.
I didn't want to mention anything before I did anything but I'm experimenting with switching the platform this site runs on to something simpler, more integrated, and less problematic...something that makes adding content easier and frees me up to writing and coordinating the gathering of content instead of repairing problems.
If it's important enough to you, I can try to see what the issue is, but I'd rather focus on these improvements so we can get more of the site in place...let me know what's best for you though.
Any echoes on this? Other people having this problem? That might help me diagnose/isolate it. Seems to be working for me.
Just to let you know, I did clear out my cookies and it's working fine now.
