Is there going to be one this year?
Regardless of when it is, it probably won't be open to the public. The rail one was a closed event this year.
If there was one and if it was open to the public, probably in the fall. If WMATA wants people there, they'll put out a press release like they did last year. I can't see it going the way of the rail rodeo, that had public access being phased out while they were begging for the public to go to the bus rodeo.
(or they'll do nothing and someone will leak it to some Ben Schumin type and we'll only know when he gets kicked out and makes a long journal post about it).
Thanks. I was looking forward to it.
Every rodeo we had has been in September so don't be surprised is you see one. I'm pretty sure there will be one this year but stuff happens and you may have to cancel plans.
FYI the Ride On/DASH Roadeo will be September 26 at the Training Facility (not G'burg Division).
Where is the Ride-On training facility?

The Public Service Training Academy, is at the corner of Darnestown Rd (old rte 28) & Shady Grove RD.
I still have my trophy, when I finished 2nd in 1990, at the Ride-On/Dash/UM Roadeo
I Finshed 2nd with Ride-On, and 4th overall that year.

To the contrary, the event had a stint at Gaithersburg Division. I think last year was the first in a number of years that it was at the Training Facility...which seems like a more logical location for the event. Not sure why it was ever moved, but I guess that's only because I never asked.

Well I have an answer....Because they have a brand new training/track facility at the "PSTA". Before, the track was held at random shopping centers such as behind the Burtonsville Shopping Center where the Park & Ride is currently located and the last home was the Kingsview Village Center in Germantown off of Clopper Road. If you guys want to attend the Ride On/Dash roadeo, the #56 will take you there from Rockville or Lakeforest Transit Center.
The correct address for the Public Service Training Academy (PSTA) is 9710 Great Seneca Highway, Rockville MD. It is located near the intersection of Route 28 and Great Seneca Highway (not Shady Grove Road).
Sorry, I was 1 block SOUTH when I gave the directions.
Old Darnstown Rd (Rte 28) 1 Block North of Shady Grove Rd.
The facility also sits back aways from the intersection.

I don't think there's an Old Darnestown Road, there's just Darnestown Road...
and if you're talking about Ride-On's training facility, it's off Great Seneca Hwy, not Shady Grove Road...and if you wanted to take the bus there, the 56 is the closest one that goes there, otherwise you could walk from Shady Grove Hospital (where the 43 and 66 go)

Sorry my friend to have posted the location in error.
Since I live in Florida, I think that 1 block off, w/o looking at a map, is pretty good, if you ask me.
But then again, I remember when route 28 (Darnestown Rd), was a 2-lane road. ::)
Not too bad - I live in Alexandria and couldn't tell you that from a map, and I've been there before. ;D

From Shady Grove Road to Great Seneca Hwy is one large block...to be honest, it seems like a 5-block distance...plus you have Traville Gateway Blvd in between the two.
Out of curiosity, where in Florida do you live?
