I have seen some pretty good movies this year, including Iron Man, Hancock, Step Brothers, Stupid Zero....I mean Super Hero Movie(actually it wasn't that bad compared to Epic Movie last year--I guess this is what Ishtar was like in the early 80s). Lately I saw The Mummy( pretty decent not great, but pretty decent) and of course Batman and Stepbrothers (both were freaking good and Step Brothers was funny as s***). This topic could be about recent movies or even movies in the past. And if anyone says Ishtar or Epic Movie was the best movie they had ever seen, you will be recommended to a shrink. ;D
Last Sunday I saw BRIDESHEAD REVISITED and I recommend it highly. It is only playing at arts theaters (AFI & Bethesda Row in Montgomery County) but it follows the book fairly closely and tells a good coherent story.
I haven't seen Brideshead (even though I have a bit of an English fascination) but I have seen Indiana Jones, Hancock, Narnia, Get Smart, and Batman (twice).
Indy was a bit odd in spots.
Hancock started out really good but the "twist" was really kind of lame and took the film in an odd direction.
Narnia was pretty good, if a bit cheesy in spots.
Get Smart was really good "forget your troubles" humor that I enjoyed.
Batman was a great experience that I was glad to see in the theatres.
