Title: Different voice on rail car # 5081
Post by: rb8888 on March 10, 2009, 09:10:01 AM
I rode CAF car 5081 this morning on the Red line. The voice that says "Doors Opening", "Step Back Doors Closing", etc. was very different from the usual voice. Does anyone know why? Has anyone else noticed this?

Sounds like one of the cars where they beta tested the new announcements.  They never updated them on those cars following the test period AFAIK.

5100 and 5101 also have significantly different voices, but I don't know if they updated them yet (I hope they didn't because this one sounds better imo)
