Title: President Obama increases DOT budget by 3% ($13 billion for rail).

THE WASHINGTON POST reported in the 2/27/2009 edition that President Obama increased the budget for the US Department of Transportation 3% to $73 billion. Thirteen billion dollars of that amount is for high-speed and intercity rail projects.
