I read posts on btco that described a new Route 83S began operation on 2/2/2009 between York and Baltimore. The route is operated by rabbittransit and additional information can be found at www.rabbittransit.org/express/south.html (http://www.rabbittransit.org/express/south.html). Busses operate in both directions during the am and pm rush so its possible to take a day trip from Baltimore to York and return and even connect with Red Rose Transit in Lancaster. There is a free transfer to other rabbittransit lines in York. So far J4500s and DL3s have been seen operating the service. The service is a three year experiment.
