Another evening, another round of photo teasers from my most recent website update. Tonight, we go to Rotterdam, which has a tram system and the Netherlands's most extensive subway, with two lines. However, the Erasmuslijn (blue line on the maps) will be extended as part of the RandstadRail project to the former Nederlandse Spoorwegen Hofpleinlijn line. Currently, trains from Rotterdam to The Hague originate from Rotterdam-Hofplein, but a tunnel is under construction with one intermediate station to connect the existing subway, which terminates at Roterdam Centraal, to the Hofpleinlijn line and Den Haag-Centraal. After that is complete, Rotterdam-Hofplein will be abandoned.
