I hope so.
I hope not
For reasons noted previously The Orion VII is my least favorite bus.
*cough* hater *cough* Whats wrong with the orion vii?
Okay let's not have the Orion VII sucks discussion again. But, this is not hearsay anymore, at least 2 of them were on property last time we checked. There's a thread here that mentions it somewhere. The one I saw was numbered 9773, right behind the 35' New Flyers (with the highest of those being 9769).
Have you heard them or seen them on the road?
No, not yet. They are probably being inspected and everything first. Not every system gets their buses out as fast as Ride On does.

I thought the New Flyers went only up to 9768.
Well anyways, I'm looking forward to this, I like Orion VIIs.
Whhhoaaaaa so wait.
Tristan. You saw them for your self?
Man i can't wait to see it now thats gonna be a sexy bus.
You know what? Finally we have an easy opportunity to ride a standard diesel Orion VII. There aren't many of them around, particularly in the Northeast.
Happy riding - can't wait to see pictures!
9788 should be there also. I saw that heading down I-495 in MD a few weeks ago. I must say they look pretty good in the "Lifesavers" paint scheme.

It's not two anymore i went a few days ago and i saw 2 by themselves and about 6-8 lined up.
Sorry for the bump here,
However, as I live in Mississauga I'm lucky as I can check out Orion on a regular basis. There are more Fairfax Connector NG's on the production line, as there are a crapload of shells sitting at the back of Orion and a few have already been sent to Oriskany for completion. This was a few weeks ago, so they may already have arrived!
Thanks for the info! I hope the new ones they will be getting will operate on routes lie the 171 and 151. oh yeah are they 40ft?
They are 30' buses that I saw (really, 32 ft, but whatever) however, I did see what looked to be a 35' so they could be getting different lengths this time around!
Fairfax Connector has 26 of these 2008 Orion VII Next Generation 30' buses in the fleet (9770-9795). I asked that question to the Fairfax Connector last month.
Right now I think most, if not all, FFX Connector NGs are sitting idle at West Ox because of some sort of defect.
You're right. After looking through my photos the unit parked out back is #9773, which is part of your 2008 order. perhaps it has been sent up here for modifications as a result of that mentioned "defect". However, I had been told that Fairfax was ordering more 30' NG buses, so I just assumed it was a new one.
Sorry for the confusion! Not good with my Fairfax numbers at all.
