Why can't they focus on current infrastructure issues without trying to sugar coat things? I mean the Red Line is something Baltimore desperately needed (hence the past tense), but we need to focus on current issues before future needs.

Agreed.

Also, although it may be more expensive, Heavy Rail (Subway) would be a much better option for the red line, for obvious reasons.
