Title: Former WMATA Vehicles on Army training base in VA.
Post by: Chargerdodge9 on May 15, 2014, 02:10:13 PM
Was just reading off the internet and had saw some photos of several 1000 series Rohr cars in a mockup Metrorail station on this base in Bowling Green, VA. Also, there is a former WMATA Orion V diesel down there as well (probably a 1997 unit).

The Guardian Centers (http://guardiancenters.com/portfolio/dual-rail-mass-transit-subway-system/) down in Georgia acquired some 1k cars from WMATA for the same purpose.

I thing Guardian Centers got at least 6, they blew up one. I think A. P. Hill has 4.

WMATA also has 4 in the Carmen E. Turner Training and Maintenance Facility.
