Title: Ride On Garage Assignments

Does anyone have a breakdown of who is operating what these days?  I'm curious since I know there was a huge shakeup a few years back (i.e. the 36 is now a Silver Spring route), but never got a sense of what all the fallout was.  A rough outline will do, but more specific details would be nice if anyone has them.  TIA!

I honestly doubt you're going to find anything like that for Ride-on. I mean, no one even has a roster for current WMATA bus depot assignments.

Silver Spring: 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 26, 30, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 41, 47

Gaithersburg: 43, 46, 48, 49, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 70, 71, 74, 75, 76, 78, 79, 90, 100

Nicholson: 6, 28 (Van Go), 29, 42, 44, 45, 52, 53, 81, 83, 96, 97, 98

Not sure about: 3, 7, 8, 21, 22, 24, 25, 31, 39, 51

The ones I'm not sure about may be operated by either Nicholson or Silver Spring. Because Silver Spring has 30' Gilligs of their own (specifically 5052-5059), those may be used for those routes for all I know. I know that's what they use for the 4 and 18 which is why you might sometimes see full sized buses on those routes. Also, some of the Silver Spring or Gburg routes listed might be operated by Nicholson on weekends or post rush hour. I know that was the case with routes 38, 43, and 58 but I think those routes no longer run from Nicholson at all, not sure if any others might still do so.

This is helpful.  I find routes tend to stay constant and the buses themselves shift at most TAs, so it seems like we should collectively be able to figure this out.

I'm pretty sure the 23 is a Silver Spring route, at least on weekdays, I often see the 2001-2002 Orion Vs on it and am pretty sure the block numbers are starting with "1".

Yes, based on my observations.

I saw a hybrid Gillig on the 23 on Friday, so I think we can safely put the 23 in the Silver Spring column.
