WMATA New Flyer D40LFR #6155 is still at Montgomery Division. Seen on the Y line at Georgia & Connecticut Aves on Sunday 5/6/12.
Speaking of which, I saw the other Annex-Montgomery straggler; 6114, on the J3 this afternoon.
Now here's the rest of my sightings:
2649 (unrehabbed) on the 23A, with a top-notch John Deere engine (get it while supplies last!)
2730 at Pentagon; freshly rehabbed; number is #1588.
A couple of West Ox's New Flyers had some odd sign designations; one such bus was 6568 (1A Fair Oaks Mall).
2212 on the S2 (Federal Triangle) with an "N" block.
2637 on the P6 at around 3:45 p.m. Still at Bladensburg, I see...
4268 on the J2; not only was the GPS not working, but the stop requested cord was also malfunctioning; after the driver had already opened and closed the doors to deactivate the indicator, it turned back on, then off again, then on again, until the driver told the rest of us not to use the cord that wasn't working (I think it was the one on the left side of the bus), by then, the indicator was off for good. Other than that, the bus was running nice and strong (you can really hear the Detroit Diesel engine being put to work!)
7051 on the J9 (ironically, despite being an "express" route, the sign was flipping back and forth between "LOCAL".)
RO 5819 on the 70; a very fast ride; unfortunately, we were held down by PM rush hour traffic on Rockville Pike (which for those of you who don't know, is a royal pain in the ass to sit through.)

And yet 6182 remains at Annex, oh WMATA...

Saw it at Pentagon too but it was on the lower part on the side which I don't think anyone but bus drivers are allowed to go. I waited for it to go to service, instead it left the station and went to Crystal City where I saw it up close and got the rehab #

Been there, done that. That area is a major headache during rush hour, I don't know how they're gonna handle the Walter Reed transition or whatever it is they're gonna do (or have done already?)
Now a few things of my own:
-6345 at Pentagon, looks like West Ox took another one from Northern
-4389 on the 28X
-6459 on the Q2
-2100 on the 10A with the sign saying "Hunting Point" rather than "towers". I've noticed this recently also on 10B buses I saw the other day such as 2104 and 2124, I'm guessing the area is now called Hunting Point? However, I later saw 2105 and it still said "Hunting Towers"
That reminds me: I forgot a couple things.
I saw 2119 on the 10B; the sign still says "Hunting Towers".
6435 on the 52.
While I was on 2649, I was the only passenger on the bus when we left Tysons Corner Center (the bus was heading north to Westpark). When I got off there, I saw 2703 pull up on the 5A, heading to L'Enfant Plaza, and got on. Thankfully, it was not standing-room only; though a lot of the seats were occupied. It was a bit slow on the Dulles Toll Road (no doubt due to the Silver Line), but the bus was moving very well.
2814 on the 79 (southbound), signed as "79 BLADENSBURG AND V NE".
Just checked out the New Flyer XN60 on display at WMATA HQ. It is one of first articulated and CNG Xcelsiors built.

What are the driver's side doors for? Some sort of BRT operation?

Yes this is a BRT Model.
#7155 Route G12 then G16
#7159 Route F4
Took a little bus trip today, (which I haven't done in a very long while), today's focus was on THE BUS. It was a very insight ful one, but no pics, couldn't find my camera, big deal.
6520 F14 New Carrollton
-4246 on the F14, 6215 on the A12, 4211 on the F4, 4360 also on the F4, 3901 on the C28, 4395 on the T18. Saw 7153 come in..........and it has a side ad already :(
62651 15X Greenbelt
-This bus had a nice whistle to it. Saw 4261 finishing an R12, 4391 on the G12
4391 G12 New Carrollton
-Saw 7158 on the F4
63189 on the 21 Upper Marlboro
-7159 on the B21, 7158 on the F4, 4264 on the F12. As we were leaving, saw 62621 arriving on the 21 (BTW it's a 29 footer), later this was on the 51
63206 20 Addison Road
-This bus didn't sound that good, 63189 sounded better and it's almost a year older. Saw 4210 on the V12, 4248 on the V14, 4249 on the F14, 4361 on the A12. Just a one time observer but the 20 looks like a candidate for 30 minute midday frequency, got kind of crowded. Decent crowd leaving Upper Marlboro.
63207 18 Langley Park
-Had to wait almost an hour for this bus to show up, apparently noone coming from other hourly routes want to go to Langley Park/PG Plaza, another candidate for 30 minute midday frequency, almost crush load at one time. This bus didn't sound too good also. Saw 7159 on the 84, 4327 on the F6
6030 C4 PG Plaza
-The previous two buses I rode on, sounded like a dream compared to this one, this thing sounded like pure crap.
63203 14 College Park
-Word to THE BUS reroute this thing, away from College Park, I was the only one on it past Parkdale HS, the F6 runs this way also. 84 to F6 why is this portion needed? Of course most of the routes need some sort of make over, even the 18.
6412 F6 New Carrollton
-7158 F6 with a non functional sign heading from New Carrollton
6532 F14 The last
7160 on the T18
A couple of days late.
Ride On 5574 parked in the layover area at Lakeforest on Thursday afternoon.
From yesterday
4321 on the A12
4317 on the B22
7163 on the F4
62622 was seen on the 34 so it means that 62617-22 are 29footers, need to find 32 and or 31 to round out what is 29 foot and what is 35 foot.
From today
Fairfax Connector 9631 and 9638 was seen on the 171 and if I am correct the 171 doesn't interline and also if I am correct these were from the Herndon garage.
Also saw 3 REX buses in a row turning onto Huntington Avenue from Jeff Davis Hwy.

FFX 171 does not interline with any other route. There was a major fleet swap among the system about three weeks ago. Here is what everyone got:
Huntington
9600 series 2009 and 2010 NF D40LFs.
Kept the original small number of 9700 series 2007 NF D40LFs.
Some of the 1999 and 2000 Orion V's were retired.
All of the El Dorado's were retired.
Has some 30' Orion Vs and 2008 Orion VIIs.
Herndon
All 9600 series 2011 NF Xcelsior's (amber standard side LED sign).
They kept some of the 9600 series 2010 NF D40LFs.
They kept some of the RTSs and Orion Vs.
Most of the RTSs and Orion Vs were or are being retired.
Some Huntington Orion Vs were swapped to Herndon.
Only about 10 of the 1994 RTSs will remain for about another year as their numbers are thinned.
Has some 30' 2008 Orion VIIs
West Ox
All 7700 series 2012 NF Xcelsior's (white large side LED sign).
All 2009 and 2010 9600 series NF D40LFs were sent to Herndon or Huntington.
Received some of Herndon's 2007 9700 series D40LFs.
Has 4 2008 30' Orion VIIs.
Only Herndon and West Ox have the new DEF diesel additive tanks which is why the Xcelsior's are only at Herndon and West Ox. Huntington got a lot of the newest 9600 series standard diesel D40LFs as a result. Huntington has not yet been outfitted with a DEF tank.
For most of winter/spring 2012, West Ox had all of the newest 40' Xcelsior's in the fleet due to West Ox being only division with DEF (along with 4 30' Orion Vs). At that time Herndon got most of the 2009 and 2010 9600 series D40LFs while Huntington received some of the better Orion Vs and retired some of the more run down Orion Vs. This was prior to the fleet swap about three weeks ago.
West Ox is (and has been) an all low floor fleet with the oldest buses being from 2007. During winter/spring 2012 the oldest 40' West Ox buses were from 2011, due to the DEF tank issue.
Catch a ride on a 1994 TMC RTS out of West Falls Church during rush hours while you can.
Yesterday I saw 7133 on the Q6, Im starting to think Western does a Q run during PM rush

That could be, but the 425 and 427 serving West Falls Church are West Ox routes. They were moved from Herndon last year.

Ah ok, that explains it, yeah the ones I saw were all on the 425/427.
Also I remember what seemed about a month ago seeing some 7700s at Huntington and Franconia-Springfield Stations, that was a pretty quick move. Question about the Xcelsior 7700s: how many are there? Highest I saw I think was 7737

The weekday Route 310, passing through Franconia-Springfield, is a West Ox route. Huntington operates the 310 on weekends. I'm not sure how high the Xceslior 7700 series buses go. I will see if I can see at the division. You will see 7700 West Ox buses along Franconia Rd and Old Keene Mill Rd on the 310 on weekdays.
2464 on the H2
3020 appeared to be down on the shoulder of I-495 (inner loop) just north of the River Road exit.
