Title: MV Gets Connector
Post by: Tristan on July 16, 2008, 07:03:55 PM
The grapevine, and nothing else, currently indicates that MV Transportation won the Fairfax South contract...

Damn. I didn't know South was up for bids. Yet again, two contractors, one system.

It might not have ever happened...like I said, it's grapevine info, but I consider it reliable.

Yeah. That's true. I'm not too familiar with any of MV's practices, not even when they had the RideOn contract. If it is true, hopefully the level of service won't diminish or become sub-standard.

From my experience of MV Transportation at Ride On, there like all other contractors though they did a better job then First (Worst) Transit personally. Just thanking god for not even having a contractor now....

Yeah. First is the worst. Here and abroad. One of my friends in the Uk says that First is the worst there. Stagecoach and Arriva are among the best.

I've heard nothing but horrible stories about MV.  If this is true, God help Fairfax.  Having two contractors for them isn't necessarily bad.  If there is a labor problem with one garage, the other can still operate rather than cripple the whole system.  My AGM and I here sometimes wish Tompkins was run by one contractor and Simmons by another.
