I keep forgetting to post this but this past Saturday I was heading on 495, past the Eisenhower Station when I saw of all things a Fairfax Connector RTS in the station parking lot.  I don't think FFX Connector was doing any shuttles I'm wondering what the heck it was doing there.

7049 on the C2
7061 on the C2 signed as J4 BETHESDA STATION. I did manage to change it to C2 but with everything so locked down, it's impossible to change the destination. Even the Luminator ODK was sealed shut (why Metro)

I checked the GPS's of 4200-4207, they are all sitting at Bladensburg with over 2.6 million seconds time out, I hate to say it, but I think they might be retired.
as for 4208, yeah that one went to Landover, 4209 moved to West Ox (saw it at Pentagon today), 4242 to Northern, 4254 to Landover, and 4255 to Northern (saw it on the 70 today).

Either 4200 was one of the worst performing Orion Vs, or they overused it, because that and 3900 were among the last Orion Vs put into service.  In fact there wasn't even supposed to be a 4200 or a 3900, those were later add ons, don't know the exact reason why but they are.  Those Orions you might have mentioned maybe sitting at Landover because there are now about 3 soon to be retired Orion Vs sitting at Landover, along with about 5 DE40LFs, and about 4 DE42LFAs sitting at the back.  And no those hybrids are not being retired, don't know why they are back there.  There was also an Orion VII 30ft sitting back there, and I don't know if anyone ever explained the reason why there are Orion VIIs at Landover, but those are there mainly for driver training.  There's a small course set up in the back at Landover where they do it, usually during the midday.

Orion V 4242 was the last Metrobus to operate the Centreville/Chantilly/Oakton service on the latest (and last) westbound trip from Vienna Station, old Route 12A after 8:00P.M.  The destination sign spelled out "LAST METROBUS" instead of showing the route information.  I've been wondering why I haven't seen 4242 at West Ox.  It's been awhile.

That's because West Ox used to have the ENTIRE lower half of the 4200s and more (4200 to somewhere in the 4250s)

I walked by Bladensburg division today, I saw the 4200s bunched up in the same area (they all had their fleet numbers still on), one of those buses was actually 4340. I also saw 3001, fresh rehab, soon to be in service. Also there was 5301 and 5306. 5301 is already rehabbed, 5306 isn't, but what was on 5306's window was a paper that said "out of service", so I'm guessing it's just there for repairs. Also saw an unidentified 2700 behind the bunch of 4200s (only saw the first 2 numbers, that's how I know it was a 2700), and, of course, it was in red paint.

several sign mess-ups on the Xcelsiors as well

"Z6 Bradbury Hts / Fairfax Village" seen on 7038
"80 E Randolph Rd / Old Columbia Pike" seen on 7017
"H6 Half and O SW" seen on 7019 and 7022
"79 American University" this time seen on 7014

Those Express Xcelsiors actually have the Metro Extra logo. I'm at a lost as to why though. The 79 already has plenty of buses.

I think they are trying to bring the MetroExtra branding back for the Express routes (S9, X9) and the future routes.

There maybe some merit to Annex getting some Xcelsiors.  Saw an unidentified one this morning turning onto 11th Street from Penn Ave.  I got to see part of the left sign, which said "Square", but didn't get to see the whole sign, so it is unknown if it definitely an Xcelsior  that is now based out of Annex.

I feel you on that plus U of MD is really ambiguous. The area there is called the Universities of Maryland, Shady Grove. I remember the 127 used to say 127 UMS SHADY GROVE.

Isn't the BAE units the last 52 buses (7101-7152) meaning that 7100 is the last of the Allison's for this order?
