In your notes, has anyone kept note of Metrobus rehab numbers and the approximate dates when they look like they've hit the road? I'd like to add this data to the comprehensive WMATA roster.
IIRC 4320 is rehab #1013, 4323 is #846, 2010 is #1111, and 2097 is #1220, and of course, 4305 is #1000
(and I THINK (not 100% sure) that 4374 is #999)
9221 is rehab #1, 9628 is rehab #62
Does anyone remember which Metro-D was Rehab #500? I remember a special designation. I'm gonna keep a list running here.

...which is why I pretty much never bother to look for the rehab #s on these buses...it's really hard to see, sometimes it's worn completely out, even on the newer Flxibles.

I was wondering that when I saw 2459 the other day. I wonder if they'll replace the John Deere decal. Now that WMATA has a sizable fleet of JDs, I wonder if it's such a big deal for them to keep them.
It'd be cool if they either sent those four to FMR or swapped the engines out with four FMR Cummins buses (the bulk of the C40LFs and the Cummins VIIs both have the C Gas Plus). Not saying they should, but it'd be neat anyway.
2459 is the last C40LF with the Cummins C Gas Plus. 2460-2464 has the JDs but it looks like they will be repowered because the JD sticker has been removed on some.
What number was 4337? That was an early (the first, IIRC) Orion V rehab. Sometimes the numbers jump all around...but I won't commit that one until I can get another look at it -- I think it's at Royal now so I can get to it relatively easily.

Hopefully these are all right, sometimes I don't write them down immediately when I used to do it. Unless I find out for myself or if anyone has lost notes, 9628 being #62 I question only for the fact that most of the 9600 were either in the rehab 400 or 500 range. With some of the rehabs being far off from the rest I can only assume it is 62. There was a list of the older rehabs on Adam's site..............the bad news is that it was on the old BTCO.com and those were lost when Adam made over the site, and I might have forgotten to get him to recover the old list. here's a sidenote: 2000-2231 would be 232 buses, but there's 7 extra spaces for rehab numbers between the 42-4400s/3900s and the 23/2400s. here's what I mean...the first '00 bus to be rehabbed is 2142 which is 1033 (since 4275 is 1117, lets say 4275 is 1033 and 2142 is 1034), and the last is 2047 which is 1274 (with 2320 = 1263 and 2394 = 1272, so lets shift those two up and make the last '00 rehab 1272)
that said, we have spaces for rehabs between 1034 and 1272 (including those 2 numbers), that's 7 spaces extra from the 232 '00 buses since 232 buses starting from 1034 would end at 1265. I am VERY curious as to what those could be. extras from the '98-'99 rehabs? can't be, the remaining spaces in that area are the exact number from what I'm missing.

all 2200s have been found now (as well as 2100s which was done earlier). the only 2000s remaining are 2015 and 2086. 2015 is missing its rehab numbers and 2086 has been out of service for a long time due to an accident, and may not return to service. despite having two left in the rehab # range of 1033-1274 (the rehab range for the 2000s, 2100s, and 2200s), and only two of those buses un-numbered, there are 9 empty slots within that range (1044, 1047, 1051, 1052, 1057, 1060, 1068, 1190, and 1228). What goes in the other seven slots? I have no idea, until then it remains a mystery. I am guessing 2015 and 2086 are 1190 and 1228 (not respectively, unless it actually is) and I don't think I need to explain why I think that, given the information mentioned earlier.

Yep, that was me. Before it showed up at Bladensburg, it was sitting at Four Mile Run, with its last seconds count at around 7 million. My guess is that its GPS was broken when it got transferred to Bladensburg.

Yes, WMATA's Orion IIs did get rehabbed, but I don't know all of them were done. I never paid too much attention to them.

No problem. As for the missing number, it could be either:
A) 5320.
B) One of the diesels/hybrids I mentioned above.
C) An Orion VII that somehow slipped under the radar.

6137 and 6040 both returned to service not too long ago; nobody's heard anything about 6137, and even though 6040 was not shown to have a rehab number on the front at first, it returned to Bladensburg briefly afterwards. And of course, there's 5320. I put the first two on the list, just in case.
Another thing I forgot to do, I did not check the inside of 6040 for a rehab number. Speaking of that bus, it's on the J12 right now, according to Nextbus
As for 6137, I almost got a chance to see it (I was following it from my phone on nextbus) but I just missed it.
And as for the Neoplans, I'm starting to wonder if they will actually all be rehabbed, since they're being rehabbed very slow due to Neoplan parts that are hard to find these days.
ever since that one time I saw 5306 at Bladensburg and 5320 on nextbus showing up at Bburg, I've not heard from them since. I'm guessing rehab is the most likely option since that was the same case with 5321

I took 2681 on the REX (which isn't a very fast C Gas btw) down to South County Center (Richmond Hwy and Mohawk Ln), and to my luck, 2678 was the next northbound REX (Fairfax Connector's 9622 came on the 171, I was about to take that one just as I almost gave up, good thing I didn't)

Its coordinates showed it was there a couple weeks ago; I think it was the week that 2541 and 2572 returned. You know how some buses that go to Bladensburg show a route number when they arrive, like the 3A for 2616 or the REX for 2679? For 2510, it was the 16L.

Wasn't #6212-6217 rehabbed back in 2011 along with #6167? Also, when are they going to rehab the DE40LFs and DE40LFRs? I'm dying to see them repainted.
They're not rehabbed, they were only repainted. See, rehabbing involves a complete rebuilding of the bus, with newer parts, interior seat pads, repainted interior and exterior, etc. 6167 and 6212-17 were only repainted on the outside, and it's the same thing for 2815-2825, 5302, 5305, 5308, 5311, 5313, 5316, and 6040.
The ironic thing is, 6040 is among the approximately 20 DE40LF(R)s and D40LFRs that still haven't shown up on NextBus over the past couple of weeks. And since there's still an empty space for rehab number 1656, I'm gonna guess that it belongs to 3030, since it returned to service around the same time as 2666 did.
And now, it's time for a new page, I think.

So....just an update. I don't have any new rehabs to report yet, but I do have an explanation to why the C40LFs and Annex 6100s are not showing up on the main API. That would be because the main API only works with Orbital data. The Stop ID data (which comes from Nextbus) shows all data. The C40LFs, Annex 6100s, and a few more buses (I think 5318 may be one of them too) had their tracking systems converted to Clever Devices. As more and more buses convert to Clever Devices, hopefully WMATA will fix the main API to show that data as well.

So if 6140 wasn't 1706, then it's probably in rehab now. It might be the same case as 2588 where it was at Bburg for several months then returning back to service rehabbed. As for that bus showing up on the API that one day, it might be some sort of effect that buses in rehab are going through. Notice that 6115, 6142, and 6162 did the same thing while in rehab (6115 and 6142 "back" in rehab apparently, we'll see how they turn out)
Then again, 6033 apparently did the same thing by making that one-time appearance then disappearing again. However, I actually did see that bus in person when that happened.
UPDATE: 6119 confirmed at Bladensburg. Found at the same place I found 6184, meaning that it could go back to service very soon, maybe. Although, it was still missing a fleet number on the left-rear side.

Yeah I was at Lafayette Square yesterday, waiting for a 30s bus when I noticed that an oncoming NABI artic (5415 of course) had a red stripe on the front. I thought nothing much of it until I saw that it had a rehab number. Before it could get away, I ran and caught up with it on Vermont Ave where I got the rehab number. Not much later, I saw 2503 on the 74 with knight rider lights (video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1b5Svo3-XQ)), I was totally not expecting that either.
Way to make things interesting again, WMATA :)

The Neoplan artics are long done with rehab, mainly because since Neoplan has been out of business, it's been hard finding replacement parts to get them rehabbed, which is why 1. The ones that got rehabbed were in rehab for a very long time compared to many other buses that have been rehabbed and 2. only 5 Neo artics got rehabbed (5301, 5306, 5309, 5320, and 5321), while all the others were only repainted, but not rehabbed. Last I checked, 5303, 5304, 5314, 5318, and 5319 are still in the old scheme

Yeah, there's 9-10 left now (depending on whether or not 6140 is in rehab). Today I saw 6130, 6131, 6133, 6134, and 6138 all in person and they all had a small rectangular white sticker on the front window that said "NOTICE SAMT". I feel like this is part of this project, but what could it be...we shall find out soon enough
Those non-rehabbed D40LFRs could be used for that upcoming new "Metro-Ways" service on the 9 line in Northern VA in August. Maybe they'll wrap those buses like what they did with some of the 2000 Orion VIs when REX started back in 2004. I don't think those new 8000 series NABIs will be coming in until maybe September.

So we left off in the early 1800s, and I know y'all have been eager to know which ones have been rehabbed in the past 8 years. Since then, not only have all DE40LF/LFRs, DE60LFAs, and NABI 60-LFWs been rehabbed, but now they're retired. The D40LFRs, C40LFRs, and DE40LFAs are all now rehabbed too, but a lot of them also retired.
Also I moved to Florida in 2015, and since then no one replaced me in the DMV for rehab duty, so this isn't as updated as I'd like it to be. Apparently there's a 20,000 char max per post so I'll have to post rehabs 2100+ in the next post.
Alright from here on there's plenty of holes as unfortunately I couldn't find rehab numbers for some of the DE60LFAs before retirement. It is also my understanding that some 6500s have been sold to, and are now operated by, Fairfax Connector.
