This afternoon I spotted 4 WMATA Xcelsiors being delivered. I saw the buses on the I-495 inner loop near Connecticut Ave. They were 7039, 7046 and the last 2, I couldn't (safely) get a good look at their numbers. I think they were either 7013 and 7004 or 7014 and and 7003.
Blast from the past (sort of). Yesterday, I saw Ride On 5422 on the 5, but the rear sign was displaying 127. The front and side signs were correct.
FAIRFAX CONNECTOR and WASHINGTON FLYER observations during 4th of July weekend:
1) 7/2/11: FAIRFAX CONNECTOR #9782 (Orion VII Next Generation) operating "RIBS 1" service at Wiehle & South Shore in Reston VA.
2) 7/2/11: FAIRFAX CONNECTOR New Flyer D40LFR operating Route 505 service to "WEST FALLS CHURCH" at VA Route 267 and Wiehle Avenue in Reston VA.
3) 7/4/11: FAIRFAX CONNECTOR #9788 (Orion VII Next Generation) operating "RIBS 3" service at Tall Oaks Center in Reston VA.
4) 7/4/11: WASHINGTON FLYER Van Hool coach on eastbound VA Route 267. I was traveling in the opposite direction so I couldn't see the coach number but it was the first Van Hool coach I have seen in the WASHINGTON FLYER fleet which usually consists of MCI products.

Yesterday I saw Ride-On's 5374 on Redland Rd and MD 355 (pretty much where Shady Grove Station is). it was not in service and im not sure what it was doing there

Typical: 6449 running on the D6 yesterday morning heading to Dupont.
Strange: 3014 running on the 32 to Archives during rush hour.

Oddest thing on the Red Line today. I was at Farragut North on the Glenmont side and heard a Blue Line train coming off the branch into the station signed STAD-ARMORY. Then later on while on Regional 168, same train with lead car 3018 signed on the BLUE for Fort Totten.
