Happy New Year to all, a new year of observations, a new year of oddities and to a point a new year of last rides.

heh, i never actually imagined one of the LFAs having an ad wrap, I hope to see it tomorrow when I head out.
same goes to 2463, the GPS apparently is still not working, but I hope to see it on the 79 or X9 or wherever I go.

and by the way, 2464 is on the 80 right now according to nextbus

Geez, noone has been keeping track of the new THE BUS Gilligs.........well neither have I but right now from my front door observations, at least up to 63209 is in.  Of course that is running on the 22, in front of my house, but it's an observation.  63209 has been running on the 22 since before New Years along with 63197 which has been doing it for a few weeks.  Also 63199 and 63207 has ran the 22 in the past couple of weeks.  Might have to do a THE BUS trip to figure out what the highest number they have in is.

2464 on the 80? well technically they're not branded so its not wrong although people do know where there blue buses live but, It wouldn't stop them from catching the bus if one was on the 80 or the H2.

well it makes more sense since FMR took back all of their non-branded John Deere Orion VIIs (as well as all of Bladensburg's). there was this one day I remember sometime last year where ALL the buses running on the 23 were Pike Ride buses.

Yesterday Orion VII #2532 was the "warming bus" at Foggy Bottom most of the morning for the Blue/Orange shuttle between Rosslyn and Farragut West. I think the rehab number was #1442 but not 100% sure since I didn't write it down. Also to note Four Mile started the shuttle then Southern Ave came in about 11am with there fleet of LFR's.

I saw a whole convoy of LFRs coming up Pennsylvania Avenue heading down on the 36 with my buddy on Saturday. I think about 6 or so (plus a 34). I so wish I had gotten some video of that.

Also, I rode 2532 on the 7A just last week. Got a pic of it at Shirlington.

I haven't seen 2818, 2819, and 2821 yet, but I'm guessing they've been painted as well? Also I think someone on here mentioned that they saw 2463 in express colors on the 79, but nothing official as of yet.

This counts as an usual sighting since I have no clue what these buses final destination is.  But over an hour ago, saw two Flxes on flatbeds that just passed my house.  When I said I don't know where they are going, is that Landover/Carmen E. Turner/the auction lot are right off of Route 50, with I-495 not too far away.  Why they came this route I don't know why and didn't know if there were going towards the stadium or towards Landover Road.

Well, I've noticed something new with Ride-On: Whenever the bus is entering an area such as Montgomery College or Shady Grove, a female voice will say, "People, please take your belongings when you leave the bus." Metrobus has plenty of these kinds of messages, but this is the first time I've heard one from Ride-On.

MTA: Today 01/31/2011 I saw another spanking brand new MCI D4500 on I-370 (frameless windows and all) operating the Route 991 service (I-270/I-70 express) to Hagerstown.  I thought they would reserve these new coaches for the ICC service but at this rate they will be used and abused by the time the ICC opens.
