Very nice! Out of curiosity, approximately how tall was the gentleman in the final photo?
He is 6 foot 5 and he head touched the ceiling at the center. Of course with the condition of the streets around Baltimore, anyone between 6'2 & 6'4 can get hurt if standing under that.

We never expect anything to be perfect at MTA. I always expect something to be missing, misspelled, or just incorrect.

It was just that bus. The other side has the logo spelled correctly.
It's fairly obvious through observation that the words under the logo are set off to the left, and are aligned to be centered when the "g" is included.
The logos are factory applied, so either someone there didn't apply all the letters properly, or someone craftily removed the "g" for the pun.

Regarding the AC stuff, blame EPA - "every bus manufacturer except Gillig" (and MCI, if you want to go there) ended up moving their AC units to the roof of the bus because of all the new stuff related to "2010 engines" and emissions controls (the quote comes from a Gillig rep). Our next order of buses (due in about 12 months, before you ask...) had a line item for 2010 Engine equipment and it was $27,000 additional per bus.

I've only seen this type of HVAC on buses with Thermo-King units (i.e Brampton Xcelsiors). SEPTA still orders Sutrak HVAC units which are roof mounted regularly even with the EPA2010 standards. Why Thermo-King decided on this mounting is beyond me.
