I think there is enough Chinatown bus traffic between NYC and Richmond that is ripe for the taking, but the route could really succeed if local traffic between DC and Richmond was allowed on some runs. A good half of the bus at least could be sold twice if they even get a slice of DC-Richmond traffic out there let alone get people out of their cars.
I have an idea on this that I might share on the "What If..." board sometime.
