Cool,
Already made plans to visit on Saturday to take pictures.
On the same day I will also take pictures of the progress in Anacostia, along H Street and Benning Road, and in Virginia along the N Route Silver line.

I can't wait to see these in person. I've heard so much about them and their cousins in Portand and Tacoma, WA. Were the cars not open to the public at the time you photographed them?
I hope to see them this weekend.
I was told I could not take pics. Not that it stopped me.
Well from your pics it looks like you just got there early! I'd expect more people...

Wow, are they just showing off the Circulator in general, or can you take the Circulator to this lot?
Circulator stops near the lot (both routes, it is the site of the Old Convention Center) but from the photos it looks like the bus is on display.

Yes you can catch the circulator,or 70 or 79 bus there. Its at the megabus stop.
Saw the car being flatbedded to Greenbelt the afternoon along Rhode Island Avenue, just outside of DC.
Overall, very nice. Definitely a good continuation of the lineage. The Circulator colors make for an interesting livery.
We have one of its restored 1945 PCC predecessors from D.C Transit on display daily at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. www.vmt.org
These cars are smaller then I thought they would be. Their interior layout is similar to the interiors of the Siemens S70 Avanto run down in Charlotte NC.
I like the pattern of the seat cushion fabric. I hope WMATA chooses this fabric for the 7k cars.
The person charged with the care of the cars tells me the they are exercised in Greenbelt yard using battery power. They are capable of running about a 1/4 of a mile on level track using battery power

Don't ask me what the two buttons on the floor are for as I didn't ask
It DC DOT hires operators form WMATA to operate the cars they are going to have to get use to the controller handle on the left. The the controller handle on metrorail cars is on the right

Cool. Thanks. I like the Broadway Limited t-shirt on the guy in the wheelchair.
