Title: Bats in the Belfrey
Post by: Antozilla on February 24, 2010, 08:58:00 AM
Racoons in the station.

This is beyond the pale.  Staff FEEDING raccoons in the Metro station!  See story in todays WAPO.

If that is not dangerous to passengers I don't know what is.

What's next a la Willard they will feed the rats?  I think it all comes down to the quality of Metro staff has really declined.

Maybe the metro transit Cops will give the raccoons a ticket for eating in the station??

Once the raccoons lose the fear of being close to humans, then they will think human ankles are a food source & start to attack humans.

Another thing, Raccoons are night/nocturnal creatures. if they are out in the daytime, its a good chance they are already rabid & should be feared.

I wonder how soon, a raccoon will make it to a train going downtown??

A few people I know have seen rats in Gallery Place. How ironic.
