Yes. They're part of an 850-bus order. They're numbers will be 3800-4278, 4330-4700. At this time the 4400s are just entering service. The 4500s should start showing up very soon as I know up 4495 is on the streets now.

WOOOOO thats alot NYC is gonna be possessed with Orions just like pretty soon we are gonna be possessed with Flyers.

We're getting 90 of them. They're still working out some teething issues. So far, I think there's 3 of them on property. Last I heard 45 would get assigned to the MJ Quill depot in Manhattan and 45 to Grand Ave depot of the Brooklyn division.

The NYC area is already Orion-heavy. However, the area is actually getting a bit more diverse. This order will displace Orion Vs and TMC RTS. In addition to the Orion VII NG HEVs, they're also getting 90 NovaBUS LFA artics and the 90 DesignLine buses.

The Designlines will be going to MJQ, Manhattanville, and Grand Ave Depots.
Grand Ave depot is gettng Orion VII NG as well, all the RTS will be displaced from Grand Ave Depots, hopefully all the NOVABus RTS at Grand Ave depot go to MTA Bus (JFK, Baisley Park, Far Rockaway , LGA, College Point, Eastchester, or Spring Creek Depots or maybe all depots get them) and the TMC RTS can go to retirement.
Also the MTA will be test fuel cell buses in spring of 2010, it cloud be the New Flyer H40LFR or Van Hool A300L FC.
After the MTA test Fuel cell buses, I bet they will test another alternative-fuel buses and my guess after fuel cell buses, they would next
Gasoline-electric hybrid later on, but for now they have no plans for that after they test the fuel cell bus.
