The REDSKINS gave Detroit a bailout with a DETROIT win
The REDSKINS should have LOST to Tampa Bay
The REDSKINS gave CAROLINA a bailout with a CAROLINA win.
The Redskins play against Kansas City this Sunday at FedEx Field (I'm wagering for a Kansas City Win) And the the following Monday Night, the EGGLES come to town for a Monday Night game on ESPN.
With Danny, bringing in Sherm Lewis as a "consultant", and reports of Danny, flying to Denver to meet w/ Shanihan, the writing is on the wall, that Zorn appears to be on the way out. Even the PTI guys (Wilbon & Kornheiser) say that Zorn is 1 of 3 coaches on the hot seat (Their pick is the Raiders coach as 1st to go).
The Redskins can't hire Shanihan outright, because of the ROONEY RULE, except as an interim basis, I feel the writing is on the wall, that Zorn is over his head & will be unemployed before years end. (If you work at the unemployment office, and lose your job, where do you go the next day?).
I feel the pain of all the Redskins fans. I am one.
Least we don't have Rush Limbaugh wanting to buy the Redskins. . thats all we need. . Rush Limbaugh in DC!
Danny. . save face. . get rid of Zorn NOW!!
I agree with you 100% even though im a Dallas fan ;D ! But i think he is soft and a lil uncaring person. I mean it wont hurt to get another old school Dallas whooping .
D.A.R.T.

Real
Team
I know they broke up, But I would LOVE IT, if Jessica Simpson would make another appearance at a Cowboys/redskins game.
He's saying like Dall-ass is actually a good team. They nearly lost to Kansas City. Everyone keeps saying the Cows*** are superbowl caliber, yea if that is the case then I am president of the U.S. Dallas is SO overrated it ain't funny.
Back to the topic at hand. 1)Gregg Williams should have been the coach 2)Zorn needs to go 3)Vinny Cerrato needs to go 4)Dan Synder needs to sell, no give the team to John Cooke. The Skins have the talent, a with a good coach, he'll see who has talent and who wants to win and who just has talent, picking up a paycheck.
The Skin's fans have been suffering for years without a superbowl appearance and even the fans have so much to give before they start putting bags over their heads and start booing every game.
I'd honestly take Bill Cowher over Shanihan, but could he deal with the interferance of Dan Synder. Cowher would get these guys playing at a higher level and those who have the talent and want to win will shine over those with talent, picking up a paycheck.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Redskins has problems before Zorn became head coach. They've had good enough talent for years, but they can never seem to get it together.

I don't see what's the point of this topic ALL Redskin fans need to accept the fact that the Coach doesn't win games the Players do so stop blaming Jim Zorn for the disgrace that is the Washington Redskins,Like Wayne said they had problems before Zorn even became involved with the Redskins.

I kinda agree with that right there.

You guys make a good point. The head coach/managers are often the fall guy when a team comes up short. They (and the rest of the coaching staff) are responsible to a certain extent as they players do need to be properly coached and coaches need to use good strategies etc. I don't have a problem with Synder going after the big-name talent, but he needs to realize that building a successful team is not quite as simple as opening his checkbook.
Snyder has always treated the team like it was some Fantasy League Football. One of these days he'll get it; but probably not...as long as he has the ability to buy whatever he wants.
It used to be, that the NFC EAST, set the standard for the rest of the league. Used to be all 4 teams would beat up on each other & whomever survived, went onto play/win in the Superbowl (Feb 2010 in Miami).
Yes. . the players should be held accountable. . but as the captain of the sinking ship, Zorn will be the fall guy here.
Poor Jason Campbell. . suffering the same fate as Patrick Ramsey. . so much hope & talent, that the head/QB coach couldn't develop either into a HALL OF FAME QB. A good QB will help to lead the team.
Least the REDSKINS are doing better than the BUCCANEERS which will have their 1st NFL Blackout this week, when Carolina comes to town.

I think if they can be successful if they address some issues. I'd start with the offensive line. Maybe another strong running back. Another good RB with Portis would create a real double threat for the rushing game. Some of these guys are pretty good. Cooley comes to mind as a good. While this teams looks really bad... it's sadder than others (such as the Rams or Raiders) because they actually have some decent talent on the team. IMO - with the proper coaching/guidance, the 'Skins can be contenders or at the very least (consistently) a team to not be taken lightly.
It all boils down to whether a system is bought by the players. You can have the best coach out there, but if the players aren't buying your plan, then they won't be a successful team. Also as I said earlier, the talent to play is overshadowed by the will to play. Look at most of the stars in the NFL today. Most of them were selected in later rounds while most of the early round choices are either bagging groceries at Safeway or selling cars at a Hyundai dealership.
Take for instance Tom Brady, if I am correct, selected in the 7th round and selected to how many pro bowls(I hate to use pretty boy, because I hate Tom Brady) has he been to. Now look at Micheal Westbrook, is he in the NFL.....uh no he is now involved in mixed martial arts and he was a first round pick, dare I say of the Redskins. His claim to fame was beating the crap out of Stephen Davis.
The Redskins have talent, it takes the right coach to get that talent out and get that talent to perform. Zorn seems to be the wrong coach to do that. Steve Spurrier's ego was bigger than anyone else's on that team and Joe Gibbs had to adjust to the NFL today and not in 1985. Marty had seem to be getting the team on the right track before he was let go and replaced by said Spurrier. What the skins need is someone to kick their asses in gear and to eliminate the pretenders and keep the contenders.
The Snyder flying to Denver rumor to interview Shannahan has been debunked and is purely a myth. Redskin One gets leased out for other uses, and one of those trips sent it out to Denver. Just coincidence.
After what happened today Zorne should be fired and Campbell should leave. This got the deadskins in hot water...I want to laugh so bad!!!
Washington & the OBAMA White House, gave YET ANOTHER BAILOUT to a city in distress.
Kansas City was this weeks city that Washington helped to get on its feet.
Next week, Philadelphia & their sluggish economy will get another Washington bailout. . then Washington will have the bye week, where after the losing to the EGGLES, Zorn will be unemployed.
Excuse me folks. . I think thats Danny Snyder calling me on my cell phone.
At this rate, all the 0 for teams should play the Redskins, they're almost guaranteed a win ;D
If not for 2 missed FIELD GOAL attempts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers woulda won.
If Vinny is going to strip Zorn of his play calling duties, why not just fire him and get it over with? This franchise is such a mess. I can't wait to listen to the Tony Kornheiser and the new "Ask Riggo" show on WTOP podcasts at work over the course of this week.
I guess SNYDER will wait til after the EGGLES beats us on Monday night to fire Zorn. Reason being we (REDSKINS) will have the bye week. . PERFECT tile to bring in a new head coach during the middle of the season.
But then again, the EGGLES lost to Oakland in Oakland comming off their bye week. Means that on Any Given Sunday. . . . .
Let's fire every coach who can't cut through Snyder's BS...so far, we have, save for Zorn...the Skins haven't been a winning team since Danny boy bought the franchise, it's time to look for a new BUYER, not another new coach.
Just bring back Jack Kent Cooke from the grave & resurrect the Redskins.
