Hi,
How many times in your life have you seen a WMATA Flxible Metro D (#9801-9818) pass by and then seeing a RideOn Orion V (#5550-5566 and 5572-5579), or maybe, a DASH Gillig Phantom (#54-58) follow it? The reason I brought up these three fleets is because they all employ Cummins M11E engines (except DASH 54-58, which use the M11's successor, the ISM) and Voith D863.3 transmissions.

I'm not quite sure was possible in my experience! Those 9800s ran out of Northern (not sure if this is still true - I think some were shifted to Montgomery?), with the "M11 Orion Vs" running out of Gaithersburg. I'm not sure if Northern connects with any DASH routes either.
Would be a cool thing to see, though - they all sound so different.

But I do know that it would've been possible for a WMATA 5200 NABI artic (M11 engines also, but the Voiths were only on these buses since 2001) to follow a low 9800 WMATA Flxible.

Yea we definitely don't get anywhere close to Northern (thank god)
not a 9800 but a 9700....i'd all the time see a 25b 9700 flex and then see an orion v by dash follow or the other way around.this was back in the day.
