Last night (9/21/2009) TOP GEAR on BBC America ran a repeat of a production that portrayed another one of their contrived races - this time between a $1 million, 1000 horsepower Bugatti Veyron (the most expensive, most powerful touring car available) and a Cessna 182 aircraft. The race ran between Italy and England. There were a lot of intervening events including one where the Cessna had to land in France at dark because the pilot only had a VFR clearance. At this point the plane passengers jumped on the Eurostar to reach London. Anyway --- the driver of the Bugatti won the race by just a few minutes! A very entertaining show.
