Title: AMTRAK suspends service to Pittsburgh during G20 Summit
Post by: WMAveteran on September 20, 2009, 11:11:42 PM
In its October 2009 issue, RAILFAN & RAILROAD magazine reported the following: "Between September 24 and 26, 2009 Amtrak will suspend service to Pittsburgh, due to security concerns related to the Group of 20 economic summit being held in the city.  The Capitol and Pennsylvanian will continue to operate duting that time and passengers may change trains in Pittsburgh, but they will not be allowed to leave the station platform."

IIRC, doesn't the Pennsylvanian terminate in Pittsburgh? How in the world is that going to work.

You can go to PGH to change trains but not to terminate or start your trip.
