Check this out. I like the Gold Line and the Yellow Line stop for the Jefferson Memorial:

David Alpert fantasy maps are just that, fantasy maps.

Here is a revised version of that map.

Awesome map. I wonder how long it would take to do this if it were real. Maybe 30-35 years?

Personally, I'd prefer something like this:
NOTE - the only thing I edited is the ends of the red line, everything else is the same as the first map posted in this thread
Route Q2. Destination: Silver Spring Station

DCT S9Z4Z6

On the FANTASY MAP. .  GreenLine

After Greenbelt & before Kotterra Town center, you have "CALVERTON"

It should be listed as BELTSVILLE. . . .  NOT CALVERTON
CALVERTON is WEST of I-95.

Everything listed is running along the B&O I mean CSX tracks paralell to US Route #1.

GREAT planning.

A 2nd & seperate Rosslyn crossing?

With BARC going to Naval Med, have a seperate branch between Chevy Chase Lake & Bethesda/Naval Med.
Same with Huntington/Franconia/Springfield. .  have something going down to Ft Belvior.

Don't forget, when we build all the NEW lines, we build it w/ a 3rd track.
Can't go wrong, with a classic ANYTHING!

Here's the latest from are friend at Greater Greater Washington:

What about a "Gold Line" for Route 7?

The above evolved out of this, this and this post on express service to Dulles Airport.
