I saw Breda #2002-2003 today at McLean Station. Also saw Orion V #2161 getting some work done at Four Mile Run Division.

Funny, I just saw #2118 over there the other day also be maintained. It's back in service now as of yesterday. My outing for today:
PRTC Fuller Heights/Transit center 273 (another new Gillig Advantage)
PRTC Franconia/Springfield Metro 192
FFX 371 9793 (Second time I caught a FFX Orion VII NG!).

Yeah, I saw some #5000 series cars testing there on Saturday while on the 23A. Anyone know how far the Silver Line is as of now?

WMAveteran

The Silver Line tracks are completed as far as Wiehle Avenue which will be the initial terminal station when service begins the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

Not sure if this was reported, saw a repainted WMATA Neoplan #5317 this morning on the 70. Where was the list of repainted Neoplans in this forum?

Why are they white? Are they going to get a special paint scheme or something?

yeah they are for the BRT Line in VA.

BRT line, what BRT line, the 28X? Are these for West Ox?

Even though FMR and Royal would be the closest garages to this route, the buses will operate from Shepherd Pkwy due to lack of room at FMR and Royal. Unless they really dedicate those MetroWay buses to this new line, they might put the occasional DE42LFA on that line, which is why (again) I'm not too crazy about the branding. Either way, I'm glad WMATA is finally trying out BRT, some lines could really use them even if they already have MetroExtra routes running along

Well, the 79 in D.C. usually use mostly C40LFRs and XDE40s with an occasional C40LF. I guess the "9X" could be like this. But here's the question, won't this effect ridership on the 9A, 9E, 10E, and AT10 (DASH)?

The 9X would travel along much of the same path as the other 3 WMATA routes and the DASH route. To be honest, I don't really see this route as necessary. What they should do is add a "MetroWays"(Which I guess is the WMATA version of the MTA's Select Bus Service) route along the 29 Line. A new "29A" could run from King Street to Fair Oaks Mall via Duke street/Little river Parkway. And headways up to 10-15 minutes sure would be helpful. How many XDE40s is Shepard's Parkway getting for this route?

Does Northern does some runs on the 80? This isn't the first time I've seen this.

The route 80 is fully operated by Bladensburg. NSB1 is the Fort Totten Strategic.
