An interesting sighting this morning but saw 2448, 2386, 2428 and 2337 leaving Four Mile Run along with another C40LF being fueled.  Before we get happy all had  a "B" in their run number, so it looked like it was just a fuel up.

just checked their GPS's, all are back at Bladensburg (except for 2448, but after some time I bet it will go back). Also, 2386 is back online at Nextbus, I was afraid we lost it...

5902 was on the 55 today; but for some reason, the route announcer was saying, "Route 76."

In other news, some Nicholson buses are announcing stops. The other day I was riding 5380 on the 98 (yes, another SS Phantom on a Nicholson route; and a rather jerky one at that) and it was announcing stops, and for the past couple of weeks, I've seen a few baby Gilligs that were announcing route numbers (the first I saw was 5028 on the 98), and usually, when a bus announces its route number, it's also going to announce stops.

WMATA is starting to install HID headlights on their buses.  Today two Landover DE40LFs were spotted with HID headlights in Silver Spring today.

Is it that common to bring buses that are downtown (I'd have to assume 5419 was one of the X2 guinea pigs) all the way out to FMR for refueling? Or might something at Bladensburg be up? Or, better yet, might FMR have remembered the meaning of the word "variety"?

Is it that common to bring buses that are downtown (I'd have to assume 5419 was one of the X2 guinea pigs) all the way out to FMR for refueling? Or might something at Bladensburg be up? Or, better yet, might FMR have remembered the meaning of the word "variety"?

My guess is that there may have been a problem with the CNG refueling stations at Bladensburg.  Also, with the weekend shuttle operation, it may have been a case where it was better to send some Bladensburg CNG buses to FMR to be refueled.  Again, just my guesses.

I saw a one possably two C40Lf's at FMR this morning. Maybe Fmr is doing some storage for bladensburg.
