The sad State of Transit riding
« on: February 23, 2010, 03:13:12 PM »
I came across this in my travels. Sad to say the least.

And people wonder WHY they won't ride the bus. Well you can thank BOTH these individuals, for a ride nobody will forget.

Now the bus driver will have to wait on the ambulance, and fill out a report & delay everyone on the bus, from reaching their destinations. Thankfully, neither person, was packing heat, or else there would have been a different result.

Can't go wrong, with a classic ANYTHING!

I'm surprised it took us this long to find Epic Beard Man!! I wanted to post it but since it might just bring negativity to the board I passed on doing so. We lose enough peace arguing over the state of Metro :).

I think in the Bay Area it seems like a problem. Who here hasn't seen the slap fight that happened on a Muni ETB between two women over a bus seat from last year.
Well run transit agencies: MBTA, SEPTA, CTA, MTA Maryland.
Agencies needing federal takeover: WMATA

Yes indeed, which was also comical as the lady who threw the first...slap...got her behind beaten as well, although people were able to separate them before there was any real damage.

I must add that the NABI in this video sounds oh so good!
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 19 years and still going strong!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service and still going!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

The fact that it was two women and was an overglorified slap fight made that one a lot less sudden. It was so extinguished that the driver didn't know it was going on since there was a good 50' between them and the fight (it was an artic).

The NABI's as good as the stoic hipster girl in purple who witnessed much of the buildup to the fight yet didn't flinch at all. :)
