MTA Maryland 1995 Ikarus Artic 9510 was in service on a school run and I was lucky enough to ride it and capture a few videos, one of which is below:

That bus sounds like its transmission was replaced (Voith DIWA D864.3E is what it is).
Originally, these 10 units had ZF Ecomat 5HP-600 model transmissions (a similar specification to that of WMATA 5201-5245 and Miami, FL's Metro Dade County Transit's 1994 and '95 436s). But did the 1996 MTA Maryland units, #9601-9620, get Voiths as well in their mid-lives? WMATA also replaced the ZFs with Voiths on their artics at mid-life.
~Ben
Yes, the 9600s also have those same transmissions. However, this replacement only happened 3 years ago as there wasn't any mid-life overhaul performed

What are the other 17 Flxibles still in service at MTA MD?
~Ben

Question. What did MTA Maryland do with all of the Flxible Metros that use to be stored in the lot on the south end of Wicomico Street?
This is a 6+ minute sound clip of a Nabi that emits a slow whistle type sound when it goes into gear:

~Ben
9426 to 9430 are still in service for the time being.
9426 has been retired so it's down to four. That's my next goal to record

John:
All retired MTA units go up for auction. Generallty speaking, NIMCO is the sole bidder and you know what they do with them.

Speaking of retired, here's "Un-retired" 9601 back in service:
